Overview
SingularityNET, founded by Dr. Ben Goertzel, is one of the leading forces in decentralized artificial general intelligence (AGI). In 2024, it joined forces with Fetch.ai and Ocean Protocol to form the Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) Alliance, a landmark collaboration uniting three Web3 AI ecosystems under a shared vision. This was one of the first large-scale token mergers in Web3 history, uniting AGIX, FET, and OCEAN into a consolidated ecosystem asset. At the time of the merger, all three tokens were in the top 100 by market cap. Following the consolidation, the unified token surged into the top 20, demonstrating the scale, momentum, and institutional relevance of the initiative. To succeed, the alliance needed more than legal documentation. It required a robust, future-proof legal and operational framework capable of supporting ecosystem-wide coordination, token alignment, and regulatory clarity across jurisdictions, while preserving the integrity and governance of the original DAOs.
